I love my kiddos! Even if I have to repeat myself 50,000 times.

Parents, do you ever have the same conversation over and over again with your kids? Oh my! I won’t get on my soap box about the repetitive dialogue I have with my kids with you.  But I’m pretty sure that we would be bubbling over with “Amen, sista, you are preaching to the choir here.”   It is good to know that we parents are not alone in such consistent chats with our kiddos.
Hold fast, because we are not alone.  God was often repetitive in His words with many in the bible as well.
Today when I began reading the Book of Joshua God told Joshua three times in three verses, “Be strong and courageous”.  Seriously, check out a verses 6 and 7, and then in verse 9 as He says, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous.”  It was as if God was trying to get His point across and said, “Hello, are you listening? Be strong and be brave!”
Hearing the words from God is always a good thing, but we may not always listen.  So He sends the same message through someone else to punctuate His words.   Admit it, we sometimes have a tendency to seek others advice when we know what God is telling us.  In Joshua 1:18 we read where the Israelites told Joshua, “…Only be strong and courageous!”  BAM!  He went and did it again.
Maybe I’ll just start praying for God to send someone else with the same good advice for my kids.  Wait a minute, He already has….Grandparents! Praise God for godly guidance from grandparents.
You know…I am a blessed parent.  Because nine times out of ten, mine and Tim’s words soak in to their precious brains and the kids tend to appreciate and reiterate the advice later on.  Ahhh…the joys of parenting.
Just like I want the best for my kids, God wants the best for you.  Listen to Him over and over again, and learn.
Blessings to you.
