If you see or hear a slogan, a gimmick, that seems too good to be true in the earning money department, then you are right in second guessing.
“Get rich quick!”
“Money.  Money.  Money.”
“Earn $10k(+) in one week.” (This is on a cardboard sign on side of the road.  Really?)
Proverbs 20:21 is one that many folks need to pay attention to. It says, “If your wealth was easy to get, it will not be worth much to you.”
In my husband’s business, other companies are always trying to contact him to persuade him to join their team.  All types of perks, bells, and whistles are attached to the persuasion.  But you must read the fine print to really understand the whole plan.  (I’m so glad he is where he is!  We aren’t moving!)
I have a friend who manages his extended family’s wealth.  When I briefly hear him make a comment about some of the tasks he must perform, I feel sorry for those family members who have no clue how to manage the money they inherited.  It is evident that they do not have an appreciation for what has been given to them.
There is a gentleman I know, I’ll call him John, who comes from a prosperous farming family.  Evidently his grandfather, whom built the business, appreciated the wealth that he acquired, but knew that his family did not appreciate it the way he did.  When the grandfather passed away, he could have left his millions to numerous family members, including his own children.  But he observed his family throughout their lives and found only one who had the work ethic and morals that he had himself.  He ended up leaving all of his possessions and assets to his grandson.  You would never know that this grandson was one of great wealth.  “John” exemplifies humbleness and determination in work and life.
In our society today, it seems that many youth have the mentality of “a drive thru way of life”.  What I mean by that is many want they went NOW.  Oh, Kids, please be careful of this type of lifestyle.
I probably shouldn’t just say that to our youth, but to us all.  God wants us to work hard in life, appreciate what we have, help others, and desire Him.  You know what?  God wants to bless your socks off. Desire Him and His will for your life, and get ready for the blessings, however they may come.
Blessings to you all!
