Thanks, Susan B., for the picture.

I am no “green thumb”.  If I would just take the time to nurture and care for the plants, real plants, I have oh how I can just imagine the glorious colors they would produce and lushesness (I’m not quite sure if this is a word) they would demonstrate.
But I do know a “Master Gardener” that can produce gloriousness.  This gardener is God.
Let’s look at James 1:21:
So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls. (NLT)
So get rid of everything evil in your lives—every kind of wrong you do. Be humble and accept God’s teaching that is planted in your hearts. This teaching can save you. (ERV)
In simple humility, let our gardener, God, landscape you with the Word, making a salvation-garden of your life. (MSG)
Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. (NIV)
God planted His word, His teachings, in our hearts. He did it!  It is there.  His word can save us from temptations and trails and any difficult situations that may, and will, come our way.  But notice what we have to do…become humble and accept His expertise.
Yes, God is ready to nurture and care for us.  We just have to decide to get out of His way and allow Him to produce gloriousness in our lives.
But don’t just sit back and have God do it all. You, we, will grow stronger and more radiant for Him when we turn to The Son in prayer, bible study, quiet time, etc..  Just like a sunflower faces the sun and opens itself to it, we must turn to Jesus and open our hearts and minds to His teachings.
Go Grow!  Grow closer to God, and allow Him to produce a beautiful thing in and through you.
Blessings and God’s abundant love to y’all.
