Our family about ten years ago. Ahhhh.

Our family about 11-12 years ago. Ahhhh. HOLD ON!

Get a grip!
When my children were young they would hold my hand for various reasons.  Maybe when crossing the street, walking through a parking lot, when in a crowd, or maybe just because.  Each moment I’d cherish because I knew that when they grew up the “hand holding with mommy” thing would slowly fade.  Whether they held my hand for safety or for comfort, I gladly wrapped my fingers around theirs because their sense of needing me put a smile on my face.
Do you know that saying, “A mother holds her children’s hands for a little while, but their hearts forever”?  Well, all I’ve got to say is “It’s true.”
This isn’t only true between a mother and her child, but our Heavenly Father and His dear children. Oh but wait, it is more extensive than just us holding His hand.  He has our hand, body, and heart, tight in the palm of His hand.
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of My Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.” John 10:28-30
Did you get that?  No one! No one CAN nor WILL snatch God’s children out of His hand.  Hallelujah!
If you are a Christian, God has a grip on/of you so tight!  Yea, you can try to wiggle and twist yourself away from Him, but He’s NOT letting go.
The British poet, Robert Browning, once penned “Grow old with me! The best is yet to be.” I’ve heard his words used with another saying, “Hold my hand and walk with me.  The best in life is yet to be.”
Dear friend, I pray that you keep a firm hold of God’s hand.  Walk with Him daily.  He has such abundance in life waiting for you.
I believe that Mr. Browning deep down was penning what God whispered in his ear.  Why?  Because Robert has admitted that, “God is the perfect poet.” (For more information regarding Browning’s religious view, click here. Interesting.)
I pray that you will enjoy soaking up The Son every moment of each day. –Stephanie
