I was awakened this morning by the sounds of rain gently pitter-pattering outside. Oh how I wish I was under my great-grandma Hunter’s tin roof today.
While my son, Cole, and I were on our way to school, I said in an open-eyed prayer while driving, “Lord, may the rain that falls on the earth ever-so-often be a sweet reminder that You reign forever and ever. Amen.”
King of kings. Lord of lords. Our God reigns! Amen.
“The Lord will reign forever and ever!” Exodus 47:8
“God reigns above the nations, sitting on his holy throne.” Psalm 47:8
“How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, ‘Your God reigns!’” Isaiah 52:7
“The Lord reigns, he is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed in majesty and armed with strength; indeed, the world is established, firm and secure.” Psalm 93:1
“Let all the earth tremble before him. The world stands firm and cannot be shaken. Let the heavens be glad, and the earth rejoice! Tell all the nations, “The Lord reigns!” Let the sea and everything in it shout his praise! Let the fields and their crops burst out with joy!
