cross while walking“Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you” Psalm 55:22
The other day Cole and I were on our way to school. We were the first car stopped at this red light. We had a choice…we can either go straight or turn to get to our destination. We looked to the right and observed a plethora of emergency vehicles. Cole, said, “Let’s turn and see what’s going on.” So, our curiosity got the best of us and we turned right to investigate the situation.
When we drove by we noticed about four police cars, two rescue vehicles, and two firetrucks. By observing the amount of emergency vehicles present, we thought it must be something huge.
As we carefully maneuvered passed the accident, we said, “That’s it? A fender bender for all this activity?”
As soon as those words came out of my mouth I made the connection of that accident to our prayer life.
You see, to others our request may not seem so big, but to us it’s a huge deal. Then I thought that at first glance the accident seemed like just a “fender-bender” but taking a second look, the impact of that second car was pretty hard. We don’t know the severity that the accident caused in someone’s life, but God does.
Here was the final thought…It doesn’t matter how big or small one’s prayer request may be, to God it’s a BIG DEAL and will show up BIG TIME, just like all those emergency vehicles.
“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
God not only loves you, but He cares for you. He desires the best for you. Our lives will not be free from troubles. Nope, they will surely come. And don’t compare your troubles to someone else’s when you are in the midst of it. Give it to God. He cares about YOU, not the size of your prayer request. And…don’t belittle someone else’s requests…to them if it’s important enough to bring to God, then it’s important to God.
Give your request to God and watch Him show up BIG TIME.
I pray that you will enjoy soaking up The Son every moment of each day. –Stephanie
