Things to remember:
· No one is above being tempted, even Jesus was.
· Satan knows your weaknesses and will use them against you.
· No your Scripture. Commit scripture to memory.
· Satan/sin can be very enticing as if it is the best way to live. It’s like the saying you hear about how a woman may like her man, “tall, dark, and handsome”. It is powerful, dark, and attractive.
· Temptation will back around. It is just waiting for its next opportunity.
All these “things to remember” are from Luke 4:1-13.
I pray that you and I will be strong in Christ. Don’t give into temptation. Be strong in the Lord and He will protect you. Temptation is not a sin, but giving into it is. Watch out!
· Matthew 26:41 (NLT) 41 Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!”
· John 10:10 (NIV) 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
· James 4:7 (NLT)7 So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
· Daniel 9:9 (NIV)9 The Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against him;
There is so much scripture on sin, temptation, overcoming it, forgiveness…. I want to encourage you to delve into His Word and know it. Bathe yourself in His love and be clean and refreshed.
