Yep, that’s right. I’m teaching you some new languages with an old and yet familiar saying.  Ready? ‘Shalon Aleichem’ is in Hebrew. ‘salaam alaykum’ saysAthens same thing in Arabic. Maybe you’ve heard it in the movie Star Trek as ‘diftor heh smusma’ spoken in Vulcan. Now you’ve got it! Mr. Spock would hold up his hand and say, “Live long and prosperous.” But where did we really read it first? In the greatest book EVER,  The Bible, God’s spoken word. In Psalm 34:12 it ask if you want to live long and prosperious. Well, if you do here is your “to do list”: verses 13 & 14 say, “keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies! Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace and work to maintain it.” Notice that it is not just going to happen, you must work for it. So get up, say and do good and true things, and turn away from sin.
“Lord, thank You for Your instructions on how to live. Help me to obey. Amen.”
