I am so grateful that God sent His Son!
Let the scriptures from this morning “Walk in the Word” speak to you. See how they flow together, the Old and the New Testament. God is so awesome!
Praise God that when we accept Jesus as our personal Savior, He and The Spirit will not depart from us as we read in 1 Samuel. Old Testament had the ark of God; to carry from place to place and only few had the pleasure of being in Its presence, but all could see the power of God. In the New Testament we have The Son of God; God’s presence and power to live in and through us.
“The Glory has departed from Israel, for the ark of God has been captured.” 1 Samuel 4:22
16 “For God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. 17 God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him.
18 “There is no judgment against anyone who believes in Him. But anyone who does not believe in Him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son. 19 And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. 20 All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed. 21 But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.” John 3:16-21
Don’t be one who is afraid of having your sins made known. Step into the light. Allow God to show you your shame and feel the freeing forgiveness of your sins.
“If you don’t correct your children, you don’t love them. If you love them, you will be quick to discipline them.” Proverbs 13:24
In Proverbs we read of a parent child relationship. This is the same image of you and God. You are a child of God. He is your Heavenly Father. When you make your sins known, He will lovingly correct you. Don’t wallow in your sin like a pig in the mud. You’ll only get dirtier and crusty. Be washed and purified through Jesus Christ.
My prayer for you and me today is from Psalm 62:5-8:
Rest and find comfort in Him. He is our Hope, Rock, and Salvation. He is the complete image of strength. Trust in Him. Cry out to Him. Accept Jesus now.
Blessings beyond blessings to you all!
