Okay, yesterday you read where I asked the question “Who is my favorite child?” Well, now let’s take that scripture literally and biblically the way God intended it to.
“God does not show favoritism.” Acts 10:34
Praise God that He doesn’t!
Acts 10: 34-36, “Peter began to speak: “I really understand now that God does not consider some people to be better than others (show favoritism). He accepts anyone who worships Him and does what is right. It is not important what nation they come from. God has spoken to the people of Israel. He sent them the Good News that peace has come through Jesus Christ, the Lord of all people.”
Did you see that? You don’t have to come from a specific region, have a certain color skin, or speak a precise way. God doesn’t care if you are rich or poor, male or female, committed “big” sins or “little” sins. He accepts ALL and ANYONE who worships Him and does what is right.
Ah-ha, did you catch that last part, “anyone who worships Him and does what is right”? There goes that matter of choice we have again. That thing called free-will. It’s up to us to worship. He is always there with open arms.
I love attending my church. This morning I was looking around and saw many nationalities and various ages of people. It put a smile on my face to see unprejudiced in the house of the Lord.
Here’s another great part of scripture that confirms that God does not show favoritism:
“The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile —the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:8-13.
Here’s a song you all probably know. Notice what each italicized section at the beginning of each verse says:
Jesus loves the little children
All the children of the world;
Red and yellow, black and white,
They are precious in His sight;
Jesus loves the little children of the world.
Jesus came for all the little children
All the children of the world;
Red and yellow, black and white,
They are precious in His sight;
Jesus came for all the little children of the world.
Jesus died for all the children,
All the children of the world’
Red and yellow, black and white,
They are precious in His sight;
Jesus died for all the little children of the world.
Jesus rose for all the children,
All the children of the world;
Red and yellow, black and white,
They are precious in His sight;
Jesus rose for all the little children of the world.
Jesus lives for all the children,
All the children of the world;
Red and yellow, black and white,
They are precious in His sight;
Jesus lives for all the children of the world.
Jesus wants the little children,
To be careful what they do;
Honor father, mother dear
Keep their hearts so full of cheer;
Then He’ll take them home to glory by and by.
Now it will be stuck in your head all night. I guess that’s really not a bad thing. And just in case you forgot the tune or have never heard it, here it is from a you tube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_frRxDn5B4
Have a beautiful week. Go share God’s live with all; red and yellow, black and white.
