I just want to say three points after reading today’s scriptures:

  • Praise God that He is a gracious and compassionate Lord!
    • I think back at the various times in my life when God totally showed me His graciousness and compassion.  He could have torn my tail up and disciplined me big time, but He chose to be polite and empathetic.  I thank Him for those moments, and have learned much about forgiveness and second chances.
    • “The Lord is gracious and compassionate.”  Psalms 111:4b
    • Think back on your moments in life when you know God showed compassion and graciousness.  Thank Him for it and remember to do the same to others.
  • I am so grateful for my ministers and teachers of God’s word.
    • I love my church home.  Plant City’s First Baptist Church is blessed to have wonderful, caring, and hard-working ministers who believe and live God’s word.  The sermons preached, the bible studies facilitated, and the opportunities for anyone to grow closer to God through various studies and things offered are fantastic and in abundance.
    • “Commit yourself to instruction; listen carefully to words of knowledge.” Proverbs 23:12
    • If you don’t have a church home, please find one nearby and get connected to a group of bible believers.  Learn from God’s word and listen carefully, not to just those sermons you want to hear, but to those you need to hear but don’t necessarily want to.
  • Thank you to all who encourage me daily to live for Christ and desire to be more like Him.
    • We all need to be encouraged and to be an encourager.  I’ve had some sweet people in my life who have encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and challenged me to go beyond.  There are many who I know have lifted me up when I needed some serious prayer going on in my life.  Thank you!  I pray that I’ve encouraged others along the way, and feel confident that I have some (because they told me so. J ).
    • “…encourage one another…” 2 Corinthians 13:11
    • Go and be an encourager.

Blessings to you!
