November! Are you kidding me? This year is almost over. Whew!
Just as this year is almost over, the words read in 2 Timothy today are from Paul towards the end of his life. Take a look at the powerful yet simple instructions:
“Before God and Jesus Christ, I give you a command. Christ Jesus is the one who will judge all people—those who are living and those who have died. He is coming again to rule in his kingdom. So I give you this command: 2 Tell everyone God’s message. Be ready at all times to do whatever is needed. Tell people what they need to do, tell them when they are doing wrong, and encourage them. Do this with great patience and careful teaching.” 2 Timothy 4:1-2
Paul packed a lot of word in two verses that are powerful and to the point.
- God is watching you and everyone else. He is The Judge and He will pronounce your final verdict and slam the gavel down. He sees all and knows all. So if you are guilty of doing wrong, stop, repent, and start doing good for God. If not, watch out! Acts 3:19 says, “Now it’s time to change your ways! Turn to face God so he can wipe away your sins, pour out showers of blessing to refresh you”
- He is coming again! I get all giddy reading that. Woohoo! The Message translation says, “He is about to break into the open with His rule.” Luke 21:27 says, “At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.” Here He comes! Ready?
- So…because God is watching AND is coming again:
- Tell everyone about God with passion!
- Be ready.
- Put godly challenges before yourself and others.
- Encourage one another.
- Persevere without complaining.
- Keep The Message simple: Turn to God, love Jesus, live for Him.
I pray for you all today. Be bold, kind, and compassionate. Share God’s love with everyone and let them see Jesus in and through you.
Blessings to you.

Stephanie, again powerful words and so many times I fall short of telling others about Jesus. I know this is our mission on this Earth and I pray that Jesus would help me be a better messenger. There is no decision on this Earth more important than accepting Jesus as your Savior. We are here but a blink of an eye and eternity is forever and never ending. Where do we choose to spend it?
