“All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall,  but the word of the Lord endures forever.” 1 Peter 1:24-25.

Poor bougainvillea.

Thank goodness that God’s word is not like the bougainvillea in my backyard!  We have four plants along the fence around our pool and never have had much luck with them.  When they do bloom, ahhh… what a beautiful sight.  But when I came home from Thanksgiving break and went out back to watch the college football games, I glanced over towards the bougainvilleas and gasped.  Ugh!  They look like a bunch of sticks shooting out everywhere.
In 1 Peter 1:24-25, we are reminded that the word of the Lord endures forever.  Did you see that?  God’s word lasts for all eternity!  Praise the Lord.
If you need something in your life that is true and lasting, and I’m not talking about the old Tammy Wynette song (I did include it for your enjoyment.  I know my mom may want to get up and dance with her man.), just turn to God.  He is the only thing that is true and lasting for all eternity.
Blessings to you.
