You ate a phenomenal meal and your tummy felt satisfied. You completed your presentation at work and were quite satisfied that you presented it well. You finished an exam a school and walk out of the room thinking that your test score was satisfactory. You played your heart out in your game, and were satisfied with your ability, and your team won the game. What about the masterpiece you painted? You stepped back at the completion of it, looked at it with a grin on your face, and felt satisfaction.
You may have been satisfied, but are you truly fully satisfied?
After each of the scenarios above, life has a way of possibly stealing your satisfaction. But at least you had it for a brief moment.
Grab your moments of satisfaction and enjoy them. Don’t let anyone steal your joy. But just know that one day, when you get to Heaven, you will THEN be completely satisfied.
In Psalms 17:15b it says, “…And seeing you, I will be fully satisfied.” I can just imagine that glorious day, seeing my Savior face to face. Ahhh…now that will be a fulfilling time that won’t be for only a moment, but for all eternity.
Don’t be like the Rolling Stones song says, “I can’t get no satisfaction. I’ve tried!” You can get satisfaction. Put your trust in Jesus. One day, you will be overflowing with an abundance of satisfaction.
Blessings to you.
