Peace. That is my complete feeling today.
I read the scriptures this morning, and I’m still pondering about what to journal for today. But, as my day progresses, I feel so calm.
We often hear about the calm before the storm. Do I have one coming? If so, I’m sure glad to know that God’s with me.
Am I feeling peace today because I see the fog outside and the temperature has been on the cool side this week, and it makes me want to snuggle up in a warm blanket? I could snuggle up with God’s word all day.
Is my peace coming from the assurance that my entire family is saved and that we will all be together in Heaven one day? That does bring a smile to my heart and face.
Maybe I’m peaceful because I only had a three day work week and it’s already the weekend.
Whatever the reason for my peaceful sentiment today, I’m embracing it.
Colossians 3:5 says, “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.”
Prayer: “Lord, I embrace this peaceful feeling that I know comes from You. Thank You for letting me feel Your loving arms around me. Amen.”
