Thanks, Grandpa Carol, for sharing your talent with me and helping me to create this message board.

Wood Filler.  This weekend I enlisted my step-dad to help me make a project.  This project is going to help keep my family organized in a very visual way.  At least I hope it will help.
I had envisioned a large, yet attractive, cork/chalkboard message station.  I went online to see where I could just buy one, but I didn’t have any luck.  So I turned to my handy-dandy tool man dad to assist me in making my vision a reality.
Wood for the board? Check.  Decorative trim? Check. Chalkboard paint and corkboard?  Check.  Tool-man with all the necessities?  Check. We were quite the team.
After the wood pieces were put together, then it came time for the wood filler.  I love that stuff!  I rubbed it into the nail holes and little crevices. It was like one smooth board after the wood-filler was massaged in.
This little wood-filler invention reminded me of our spiritual life.
Satan knows all of our little cracks and weaknesses.  He will try to weave his way into our life and mind any way he can.  If we will continually massage some Jesus into our lives, okay… a lot of Jesus, He will fill up those little cracks and weakness in us with Himself.
Ephesians 6:10-18 describes the perfect way to massage God into our lives daily:
“A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For weare not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. 16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. 17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
Does Satan have a strategy to keep you away from God?  You bet!  So, use some Jesus-filler and tell Satan to back off.
Blessings to you.
