“Hurry up!”
“Let’s go!”
“Come on!”
“Now, now, now!”
Have you heard these phrases?  Have you said these words?
One of the greatest verses tells us to do just the opposite.
Psalm 46:10a famously reads, “Be still, and know that I am God!”
Let’s turn the above phrase around:

·        “Hurry up and wait.  Wait upon the Lord.”

o   “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”  Isaiah 40:31

·        “Let’s go!  There’s work to be done.”

o   Jesus replied, “Let us go somewhere else–to the nearby villages–so I can preach there also. That is why I have come.” Mark 1:38.
o   And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. Mark 16:15

·        “Come on.  Come to Jesus.”

o   Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.  John 6:35

·        “Now, now, now!”

o   Don’t delay your decision to follow Christ.  It will be the greatest decision you’ve ever made in your life.  Do it now.
o   Just like the phrase in the song “Amazing Grace”…”I was lost but now I’m found.”  Listen and watch the video to Chris Tomlin’s song “Amazing Grace, My Chains Are Gone.” “Amazing Grace, My Chains Are Gone.”
Go ahead and “Be still, and know that I am God!”  Take a breath and Soak Him Up!
Blessings to you.
