Do you sin?  HA!!!!  Of course you do.  Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Sometimes I feel like I’m the biggest sinner of them all.  No matter the depth of my sin, God has a way of convicting me, and praise God He does!
I’ve heard many people say that they just don’t think God could or would forgive them for the sins they’ve done.  Errrrt!  Put on the brakes.  God CAN and WILL forgive you.   1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”  Then, these same people say that they don’t know what to tell God.  Well, read Psalm 51:1-5 for a spot on example of what to say.
King David is a wonderful example of not only being called “A man after God’s own heart” and how we should desire to be more like God, but a repenting sinner.

A psalm of David. When the prophet Nathan came to him after David had committed adultery with Bathsheba.

1 Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your unfailing love;
according to your great compassion
blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash away all my iniquity
and cleanse me from my sin.

3 For I know my transgressions,
and my sin is always before me.
4 Against you, you only, have I sinned
and done what is evil in your sight;
so you are right in your verdict
and justified when you judge.
5 Surely I was sinful at birth,
sinful from the time my mother conceived me.

Here’s The Message translation if you need it more “down-to-earth”:
1-3 Generous in love—God, give grace!
Huge in mercy—wipe out my bad record.
Scrub away my guilt,
soak out my sins in your laundry.
I know how bad I’ve been;
my sins are staring me down.

4-6 You’re the One I’ve violated, and you’ve seen
it all, seen the full extent of my evil.
You have all the facts before you;
whatever you decide about me is fair.
I’ve been out of step with you for a long time,
in the wrong since before I was born.
What you’re after is truth from the inside out.
Enter me, then; conceive a new, true life.

Go and turn to God.  Ask for forgiveness.  Honestly and sincerely mean every word you say.  Use David’s psalm as an example and just plug in your own specific sin that you need to confess.  You will feel the weight lifted off of you.  I just did, and boy do I feel peace.
