“The righteous choose their friends carefully.” Proverbs 12:26a
When I read this verse, I automatically thought about my friends. God has blessed me with special friends who mean the world to me.
Tonight I specifically thought about my friend Susan. Why? Well, my family has just returned from Susan’s son’s wedding, so she is fresh on my mind. When I think about how our friendship started, I can’t say that this verse necessarily applies to me when it comes to “choosing” Susan as my friend, but in turn God gave her to me to be my friend. (Thank You, God. )
I believe God had it in His plan all along to place certain people in our lives for a specific purpose.
I can think about all my friends, how we met, what connections we have in our lives, and I can probably pin point a reason why God gave them to me.
Just like we go through various seasons in our lives to make us stronger and build character within us, the friends I have have made me stronger at times and I’ve learned a great deal from them.
I thank God for the precious friendships He has given to me in my life.
I thank God that I get to celebrate those special times in my friends’ lives like I did tonight. (Kelly and Lane, may God’s bountiful blessings fall on you and your marriage. I love you both!)
Blessings to you.

Family milestones provide an excellent time or opportunity for many to get together to celebrate, to be happy and to have fun. And, it’s a time when many friends are in one spot. But, sitting in your backyard or on a boat in the BVIs are simple times, too, that allow for the sharing of friendships and time together. I am glad God gives us more than one time or chance to spend with friends. Sounds like yesterday was a special and treasure.. may God bless us for more times to spend time with our friends. It keeps us healthy in our relationship with God as we know it is Him who gives us those opportunities. Missing you, my friend…. love, t
I love my T:
Thanks for our special friendship/familyship. BVI…ahhhh….I would love to take the kids so they could see how relaxing it is to be away from electronics and the world.
God knew what He was doing when he placed the Jones’ family in the Shuff’s lives.
