Proverbs 16:6-7, “Faithful love and loyalty will remove your guilt. Respect The Lord, and you will stay far away from evil. When people live to please The Lord, even their enemies will be at peace with them.”
How can you stay out of trouble? One thing you can do is remember what my granny and mom always told me,and I tell my children… “Wherever you go and whatever you do, just know that God is with you and watching you.”
Ouch! I know I’ve done and said things that I definitely should not have taken Jesus with me. Wait, I shouldn’t have done or said those things in the first place BECAUSE Jesus is with(in) me.
Okay, so when we’ve done our wicked ways, and guilt has settled in, now what? Turn from yourself, and have faithful love and loyalty to God. He will remove your shame.
So does this mean I can keep sinning, and then turn around and be loving and loyal to God? Noooo! Because…when you truly are loyal to and faithfully in love with God you will desire to please Him and not yourself.
Ahhh, now notice how this all trickles into verse 7, “When people live to please The Lord, even their enemies will be at peace with them.” Live to please God! When you do, not only will you have peace, but your enemies will be at peace too. Sweet!
So let’s break this down again:
*Faithfully love The Lord.
*Be loyal to God.
*Respect (fear) the Lord.
*Stay away from evil.
*Live to please The Lord.
*Live in peace.
Blessings to y’all!!
