Presbyterian, Catholic, Baptist, Episcopalian, Methodist, Jew, Greek, etc. To me it doesn’t matter what denomination you grew up in or are a member of now, as long as you know to know that it is NOT because of laws and traditions that will get us to Heaven. As Paul so perfectly said in Galatians 2:21b, “For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die.”
Guess what? Jesus did die on that cross for us, and He did rise again!
What will make you right with God? It’s not following the laws and traditions, as beautiful and rich as they may be. It is by putting your trust and faith in Christ and Christ alone that will make you right with God.
Now, I am not saying to not value nor observe your denomination’s traditions. May your love, devotion, and your relationship with Christ make your experience deeper and more appreciative.
I have many of friends from various denominations and backgrounds. But what I desire most is for each of them to personally, and with conviction, come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and invite Him into their heart. I pray that they, as well as myself, will live out our lives for Christ and Christ alone (not because of rules and traditions).
I love Galatians 2:20, “My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
Every time I read those words I can’t help but think of the song by Phillips, Craig & Dean :: I Am Crucified With Christ. Oh please click on this link and listen to the song. You can listen to the first 55 seconds and just feel God’s love pouring out on you. But you’ll be even more blessed by listening to the lyrics in its entirety.
Friends from all nations and various backgrounds, God loves you! John 3:16 Love Him back by trusting in The Son of God.
Blessings and God’s abundant love to y’all!
