Twenty-eight years ago Tim and I started dating. I became “his girl”. Then twenty-two years ago today I became “his” when I took his last name as mine and vowed to each other to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do us part.
October 5, 1991 is a day that I will never forget.
But, as special as our marriage and relationship is to one another, I have another man in my life that means much more to me than Tim.
This man calls me “His”.
This man confirms that no one can snatch me away from Him.
Don’t worry Tim knows all about Him. He’s cool with it.
In Isaiah 43:1 we read, “Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine.” It’s not even Valentine’s Day! I am His!
Then in Isaiah 43:13 the bible says, “From eternity to eternity I am God. No one can snatch anyone out of my hand. No one can undo what I have done.” Whoop, I guess the cat’s out of the bag now. Now you know “the other” man in my life…God!
When I said “Yes” to Him, that’s it. The deal is sealed. I am His forever and ever.
I love my man with all my heart and pray that we will forever be each other’s best friend and love, but I love God more.
Blessings and God’s abundant love to y’all.
October 5
Congratulations…………you both have made us so very happy; seeing you grow from children into adults, then parents. All the while keeping a balance in your lives which only can come from submission to Christ and working to keep Him first.
Much love from the hills of Kentucky……..Dad
Thanks, Grandaddy. We love you!
