The vision of Kramer from the Seinfeld episode saying “These pretzels are making me thirsty” came to my mind again while reading the Scriptures from this morning. I remembered writing about it once before, so I found where I included this episode in a May of 2013 journal entry. (see “Thirsty”).
Why “smile on face” vision of Kramer?  Well, in Psalm 143:6 we read where David praised God saying, “I lift my hands to You in prayer.  I thirst for You as parched land thirsts for rain.”  I know I have days when I just need to see glimpses of God’s glory.  When I ask Him for some glory-time, and sometimes when I least expect it, He shows up big time.  It may be through a gorgeous sunrise or sunset, or like I saw last week the first azalea flower blooming on its heavily green-leafed bush in the month of December. There are times when I thirst for the day when I will be sitting at His feet in awe in Heaven.
Speaking of Heaven…the cool thing is, in Revelation 7:16a and 17a we read “They will never be hungry again. They will never be thirsty again. The sun will not hurt them. No heat will burn them. 17 The Lamb in front of the throne will be their shepherd. He will lead them to springs of water that give life.”  It sounds like we have an “all-you-can-eat” buffet waiting for us.
I am so grateful that because I am a Christian, I have The Living Water flowing within me now.  One day I will be led straight to The Spring of Life and sit beside Him.
Are you parched?  Lift your eyes, hands, and heart to God and fill up with His glory.  He’s ready to pour into you.
Blessings and God’s abundant love to y’all.
