Last night when I sat down to journal, I had full intention on writing about how my God is REAL!  But then, God took me in another direction.  This morning I woke up with a Christian group’s song running through my head, (Newsboys’ song, “God’s Not Dead” ).  I guess God wasn’t finished with the original thought He put in my head as well.
The thought, “My God is REAL”, was evident when I read Psalm 135:13-21.  And then when Peter penned the words he did in 2 Peter 3:5.  Then, yet again, when I was reminded of the factual Sunday school lesson yesterday with the 9th grade girls about how the bible is real by answering the question, “How did we get the bible?”
Check out the scriptures:
Psalm 135:13-21
13 Your name, O Lord, endures forever;
your fame, O Lord, is known to every generation.
14 For the Lord will give justice to his people
and have compassion on his servants.

15 The idols of the nations are merely things of silver and gold,
shaped by human hands.
16 They have mouths but cannot speak,
and eyes but cannot see.
17 They have ears but cannot hear,
and noses but cannot smell.
18 And those who make idols are just like them,
as are all who trust in them.

19 O Israel, praise the Lord!
O priests—descendants of Aaron—praise the Lord!
20 O Levites, praise the Lord!
All you who fear the Lord, praise the Lord!
21 The Lord be praised from Zion,
for he lives here in Jerusalem.

Praise the Lord!
2 Peter 3:5, “They deliberately forget that God made the heavens by the word of his command, and he brought the earth out from the water and surrounded it with water.”
Notice how my God is The Creator, and not me.  He formed you and me, the heavens, the earth, and everything in it. Man did not create God.  But men have created other gods.  Gods that don’t have any senses, yet many people want to be like their unreal gods.
What’s “unreal” is how people can and want to emulate themselves after something that isn’t real.  Helloooo, be REAL!
From the beginning of the true and infallible word of God, in Genesis 1:27, we read how we were created in the image of God. We are instructed to be imitators of Christ in several verses  in the bible.
The choice is up to you. You can either put your trust and mimic something that is DEAD, or choose to follow and believe the One True God.
Praise God and get REAL!
Blessings and God’s abundant love to all.
(Don’t forget to listen and watch the Newsboys video to “God’s Not Dead”.  It will get you head bopping and feet moving.)
