I love the scriptures all around the house to remind me of Who is in control!


I love the fact that when I walk into any room in my home I can get a quick “uplift”.
No, I‘m not talking surgery, but The Good Doctor is making all well within me.
There have been some difficult times for some friends of mine lately.  I have been praying without ceasing for them.  Right when I get a disheartening thought in my mind, God lifts my head to a verse He has had me place around the home. 
This morning I walked over to an old desk in the corner of my family room and Philippians 4:8 was casually tuck in a small alcove.  I read it and my heart began to smile. It reads, “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”
Later, I was in the kitchen making some scrumptious strawberry jam.  I glanced up and read Proverbs 17:17, “A friend loves at all times.” Precious!
Some verses are a gift from dear friends, some are from bibles studies, and some are just scripture written on scratch paper years ago. When I see each paper or gift-verse a wonderful and grateful memory comes to my mind as to who gave it to me or when I wrote it.

Memories are attached to each "verse-gift".


Do you have God’s Word scattered around your home?  If not, I want to encourage you to surround yourself with His truth. Maybe you can start by writing down Isaiah 41:10 and displaying it as a gentle, daily reminder:
“Don’t worry—I am with you.  Don’t be afraid—I am your God.  I will make you strong and help you.   I will support you with my right hand that brings victory.”  Isaiah 41:10
I pray God’s blessings and abundant love for you.
