So much chocolate for one chic!

Hi, my name is Stephanie and I’m an addict.
This addiction hasn’t caused me any issues in my life.  Well, maybe a little on my hips.  I am addicted to chocolate.  That’s right.  I’ve confessed it.  I am a chocoholic. My Day 11 LOVE is…I LOVE chocolate!
This week I was like a giddy little girl when Tim and I, along with our friends, turned the corner and ….Ahhhhh, the Cadbury Chocolate Factory . This stop wasn’t on our “list of things to do”, but my comrades were gracious enough to stop, on my behalf, so I could get a quick fix.  (I don’t think I was the only one to actually enjoy a “quick fix” though J)
I saw this machine that was churning the chocolate, and I was ready to jump in and waller around in it.  I purchased a new candy bar that was just heavenly.  The Cadbury website describes this candy as “the Cadbury Crispello Double Choc is three delicious individual wafer shells with a creamy chocolate filling, covered in rich Cadbury milk chocolate.” Let’s just say this candybar “had me at hello”.
Many of us have little addictions in life. Some are minor, more like harmless desires, but others are more consuming in and of our lives.
In 1 Corinthians 6:12 we read, “I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything.  (NIV) We have choices in life.  We have much freedom in life.  But just because we have the freedom to choose whatever we want, doesn’t mean that it is of great value to us.  Make your choices wisely.
In the next verse Paul writes, , “ You know the old saying, “First you eat to live, and then you live to eat”? Well, it may be true that the body is only a temporary thing, but that’s no excuse for stuffing your body with food, or indulging it with sex. Since the Master honors you with a body, honor him with your body!” (1 Corinthians 6:13 MSG)  Yes, our bodies are only temporary, but we need to be careful and wise as to what we fill our bodies with.
Okay, so my “addiction” is really more like a slight craving instead of a dependence.  I can go without.  If I knew that my eating chocolate would hinder someone from believing in God and taint my testimony, I’d stop.  But I don’t believe that I’ve allowed this minor “addiction” to consume me in such a way.
One thing that I sure hope you all can jump in and waller around in, is time with God.  I hope you crave more time with God through bible study, reading scriptures and godly devotions daily, prayer, listening to Christian music, etc.  That choice will definitely be one that is of immense importance and a wise decision.
Cadbury chocolate bar, about $1.00.  Devotion to God, priceless!
I pray God’s abundant love and blessing for y’all.
