Day 10…I LOVE talented people!
God has given everyone the gift of something. I have friends who have the gift to sing, play an instrument, create various forms of art, write, organize, be a prayer warrior, play a sport, teach, speaking in front of others, baking, and the list could go on and on.
In 1 Peter 4:10-11 we read, “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 11 If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.”
Did you get that? We are to serve others with our gift, be faithful to God, and above all praise God through our talents and give Him all the honor and glory.
A precious gentleman at my church has been given a gift to create with iron. Tim and I have a couple of his pieces of artwork out in Tim’s grilling area, but his latest creation is definitely one-of-a-kind. Tim had a vision of a firewood holder in our fireplace, and Mr. Shepherd made it a reality. I mean seriously…how cool is that tarpon holding the fire in the picture? So cool!
I also love to hear Mr. Shepherd pray. Boy does that man preach a sweet sermon when he prays to our Heavenly Father! Talent for praying? Check! Thank you, Mr. Shepherd, for sharing you wonderful God-given talents with me.
What gift has God given to you? I pray that you are using your gift to bring glory and honor to Him.
I pray God’s abundant love and blessing for y’all.
