I can easily recall hearing Amy Grant’s song “Father’s Eyes” and falling in love with it. I would go around the house singing that song and even sang it in church a couple of times. It spoke to me and sparked the desire for others to see Christ in me.
When others see Stephanie, they may see a mother, wife, sister, daughter, teacher, friend, or prayer warrior. But more than any title or any trait that would be attached to my persona, I so desire for others to Christ in and through my actions and how I carry myself in life.
This morning, as Cole and I were driving to school, one of my new favorite Christian songs came on the radio. (I’m not sure how “new” it may be, but I sure have noticed it being played a lot more on our local station.) My hand went into the air to give God the glory and I mentioned to Cole how I LOVE this song. He, of course, just looks at me and smiles. (I love that kid! Ooops, I’ll save that “love” for another day though.)
So my Day 6 LOVE is going to be JJ Weeks song, “Let Them See You” . (Click and listen for yourself.)
In 1 John 2:5-6, the bible reads, “But those who obey God’s word truly show how completely they love Him. That is how we know we are living in Him. 6 Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did.” Now, I’m no saint, but I sure want to be more like Christ, obey His word, and hopefully His love will shine through me.
In the chorus of JJ’s song it says:
Let them see You in me.
Let them hear You when I speak.
Let them feel You when I sing.
Let them see You .
Just let them see You in me.
That is my desire…for others to see Christ in my when I speak, write, and walk.
I hope that others will see God’s love through you as well.
I pray God’s abundant LOVE and blessings for y’all.
