I will never forget the words that Dr. Yonfa said to me while Tim and I were waiting on our first born child. He came into the hospital room and said, “We need to take the baby. He’s losing oxygen.” Without hesitation I replied, “Do whatever you have to do to save the baby.”
Just minutes later, Hunter Wayne Shuff entered the world. The cord had been wrapped around his neck, so that’s why the loss of oxygen. Hunter arrived healthy and handsome. We called him our “Little Man” from the get go. His features were strong and striking.
Not much has changed. He is still strong and striking, but he just isn’t so little any more. My 7 pounds 4 ounces bundle of joy is now a grown man. Today, he officially became an adult. Wow!
When I think about the words I uttered to Dr. Yonfa, I think about what God must have said to Himself thousands of years ago. Did it go something like this, “I’ll do whatever I have to do to save my children.”
He did “whatever it took”. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to the world to save us. Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again to live for eternity.
Saving Hunter, eighteen years ago, brought the greatest joy to my life! Our family was growing and our love expanded.
Saving you brings ultimate joy to God. Will you accept and believe in Him? If so, you’ll enter into a wonderful family where love abounds forever.
I’m so grateful that when Hunter was seven years of age he accepted Christ as his personal savior. Hunter is not only a member of my earthly family, but our my Heavenly family as well. To God be all the glory!
Happy Birthday, Hunter. We love you, Little Man, to the moon and back again and again and again!!
““For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
I remember Jany and I seeing Tim cry; first from fear for his family, then happiness for them………and Mom and I were crying and praying right along with him.
