In yesterday’s journal entry, after reading “Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens.  May your glory shine over all the earthPsalm 108:5, I asked the question “Do you think that God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit’s presence is evident in our world ALL over or just a dab here or there?”
I had said that I wanted to hear from you before I wrote my opinion down.  A few people replied. (Thank you for your responses!!!)  Here are some of the reactions:

  • He is everywhere…He just shows up in and through in different ways.
  • I see Him everywhere, but I often feel that I’m surrounded by people who don’t see Him at all, even people who claim to be a Christian. (ouch!)
  • I guess.  If you think about it He is.

Now it’s my turn.
Just a dab here or there?  Ha!  Not even a clump here or there, more like profusion.
In Jeremiah 23:24b the Lord declares, “I am everywhere in heaven and earth.”
Well there you go…How do we know that God is everywhere?  Be He said so.
As David sang the song of praise in Psalm 139:7, “Your Spirit is everywhere I go.    I cannot escape your presence.”
Psalm 113:4-6 assures us that,For the Lord is high above the nations; His glory is higher than the heavens.  Who can be compared with the Lord our God, who is enthroned on high? He stoops to look down on heaven and on earth.”
God IS EVERYWHERE!
Okay, so my question asked if He is evident.
I would have to imagine that if you are not a believer in God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, that you may have a hard time seeing evidence of God all over the earth.  I get that!  You turn on the news to see and hear horrific stories and you wonder, “Where’s God?” We are surrounded by people with addictions, sadness, and negativity that may cloud our vision of goodness.
But, I want to challenge you to put your “God Goggles” on and realize that His presence IS everywhere.
You’ve probably read or heard a sermon on The Beatitudes in Matthew 5:1-12.  In verse 8 we read, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.”  To go along with my inquiry, I like how The Message translations reads, “You’re blessed when you get your inside world—your mind and heart—put right. Then you can see God in the outside world.  When we are right with God, we have a tendency to see more evidence of God.
In the “faith chapter” of the bible, Hebrews 11, we read in verse one, “The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see.  (MSG)  One’s faith in God has a lot to do with how we see the existence of Him on earth.
How’s your faith?  Can you see Him sparsely around the earth or all over it?
This topic could go on and on.  I just pray that you will open your eyes and be able to see His goodness and glory showering His creation.
Like I’ve said before in devotionals… “Put your God Goggles on.”  Don’t just hang them around your neck and see through His eyes occasionally. He’s got a lotta love to show you.
I pray God’s abundant love and blessings for y’all.
