I saw this precious post by a young lady that I love! (Her and the post.) I asked her if I could use it for today, Valentine’s Day. Of course she graciously agreed.
She wrote, “I was spending time with my Love and realized He asked me to ‘Be Mine’. God is so AMZING! I said, ‘Yes!’ Who’s your valentine?” She had this picture alongside it:
Okay, a couple of things that I love about this posting: First of all, she was “spending time with her Love”, Jesus Christ. How priceless is that?! Matthew 6:33 says, “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.” Hope Lewis, God loves that you seek Him daily. He will supply all your needs. We all need to make sure that we spend time with our Creator each day.
Finally, no matter if you have a “valentine” to spend with today or not, God wants you to be His. As Hope displayed in her picture, Leviticus 20:26 reads, “You must be holy because I, the Lord, am holy. I have set you apart from all other people to be my very own.”
Here are some more scriptures to share. Feel the LOVE:
“My dear children, you belong to God.” 1 John 4:4
“…and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.” 1 Corinthians 3:23b,
“So we know the love that God has for us, and we trust that love. God is love. Everyone who lives in love lives in God, and God lives in them.” 1 John 4:16
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine’s Day. I hope you have Christ in your heart and know that you are His!
I pray many blessings and much joy for you! Have a wonderful day. – Stephanie
This is a perfect post for Valentine’s weekend and a reminder that the first place we should ALL look for love is in Jesus.
I John 4:8 reminds us that God is love. And if the Bible says it, we believers believe it. Thanks for sharing Hope’s thoughts…beautiful and true.
