Parents, notice that God’s word doesn’t instruct us to not discipline our children, just discipline them in the way the God commands us to…with love.
Yes, they will get mad at you for a while, but big whoop.  You’re not trying to be their friend, you are their parent.  Your loving discipline will guide them a long way in the long run.  Your child will get glad in the same pants they got mad in.  Trust your Heavenly Father.
