war room movieWell, the creators of the movies Courageous, Fireproof, Facing the Giants, and Flywheel have gone and done it again. The Kendrick brothers have produced a film that has made me: think, feel challenged, laugh, cry, encouraged me, and fueled a flame regarding an invaluable area in my life.
For months I have been excited to see the movie War Room.   On opening weekend my family wasn’t all together, and I knew this was a film that desired all five of is to view together. We finally had a free night and “got our church on” in our local movie theater.
Here are a few things that I walked away with after watching this powerful display:

  • In our world today, we have to be careful of how God’s Word is presented in the media. No worries with this film. War Room shares, speaks, and presents the Gospel in a true way. True to the bible. 1 Peter 4:11
  • One of the things that clasped itself around my heart and mind was a reference to that fact that my war isn’t against a certain person, but the one who is the driving force behind it, Satan. I knew and know this, but it really made me be more specific in my prayer life about certain individuals and the struggle they are going through. It gave me a sense of peace in my attitude towards these people knowing that it’s not them that I’m angry with, and points my frustration more to Satan. These people are in the hands of God, and no one will snatch them away from Him. Sure, they may have a finger or toe dangling, and the evil one may tug all he wants, but God’s NOT letting go! John 10:28
  • God’s already won! The devil has, is, and will be defeated. Satin ain’t got nothing on God! Romans 16:20
  • Prayer is powerful. Be specific. Chat with God all day long. Philippians 4:6-7
  • Prayer is contagious. You may do it in private, but your countenance, journal, posting, etc. are visible to others. Proverbs 17:22
  • Share. Share your wisdom with other. Share God’s love with others. Don’t be ashamed. Proverbs 11:30
  • Rejoice! Dance! Celebrate answered prayers! Psalm 28:6-7

I want to encourage you to see this movie if you haven’t already. Take the family. Have a date with your loved one. Treat a friend or coworker to the movie. Enjoy!

“I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me” John 10:28
The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.” Romans 16:20
