Tim joined me down on the beach for the final sunset of 2015. It was cloudy with hints of blue skies sporadically across the sky. He said, “It doesn’t look like there’s going to be much of a sunset tonight.”
I quoted a phrase that a good friend of mine has said before, “Just because you can’t see the sun set, doesn’t mean it’s not there.”
Then I pointed out to Tim how beautiful the colors will be in those intermittent areas.
I hope that you will have this perspective as the New Year begins. There will be “cloudy” days and grey skies in your life, but there is always some glory peeking through.
Also, be strong in your faith this year. “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1
Just because you can’t always see the reflection of The Son, it doesn’t mean He is not there. “Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.” Deuteronomy 31:8
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
