Caroline, me, and Tim.

Caroline, me, and Tim.

Last night about forty friends gathered at my friends’ home for an intimate concert in the backyard that carried over into their living room. The entertainer was Caroline Cotter. Her voice was like an angel. Her award winning songwriting ability is thoughtful, quirky, and soulful. Caroline was #5 on Folk DJ Charts in 2015. She and her guitar have traveled the world sharing her gift with others.
She expressed to us how someone had once told her (jokingly?) that her theme song should be “I Can’t Get No Satisfaction” by The Rolling Stones. Well, as it turned out…Caroline used that comment from someone and rectified herself by writing a song titled, “I’m Satisfied”. (Jokes on him.) I love it! She exquisitely sang acapella, while keeping the rhythm by tapping her guitar, “I’m Satisfied.”
Two of the verses went like this:

I am a pebble, I rest in the sand; in the depths in the dirt or the palm of your hand. I’m perfect in shape, and I’m perfect in size; I’m part of this earth and I’m satisfied.

I am a seeker, a lover of life; I honor my body my spirit my mind. Surrounded in peace, I rest my eyes; my song keeps me warm and I’m satisfied.

When she sang the words, “I am a pebble…in the palm of your hand” it comforted me in knowing that when we have Christ in our hearts, He has us in the palm of His hand. Safe and secure.
In Isaiah 49:16 the Lord said “See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.” God was telling the Israelites this as a promise of restoration.

My NZ shell.

Those words also took me back to mine and Tim’s trip to New Zealand. I had taken a photo of a shell in the palm of my hand. That shell rests on my mantle, along with some driftwood from the trip, to remind me of an unforgettable experience.
Friend, YOU are unforgettable to God. Even during those times when you think that He has forgotten you, think again…He will never leave you nor forsake you.
Are you satisfied? Don’t allow someone’s negative opinion define you. Turn their words around and make it a positive avenue for your life. I pray that you will find your satisfaction in the Lord. He will abundantly satisfy you and your needs.
“I have done only what is right, so I will see your face. And seeing you, I will be fully satisfied.” Psalm 17:15
“The Lord will guide you always; He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.” Isaiah 58:11
“Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. He fills my life (satisfies me) with good things.  My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!” Psalm 103:1-5
I pray that you will enjoy soaking up The Son every moment of each day. –Stephanie
