Your day can be filled with, or just sprinkled here and there, with thoughts that are hateful, belittling, wrong, tainted, undesirable, and shameful. Wow! What an atrocious list of adjectives to be meandering around in your psyche.
Well, let me inform you that God has a healthier and more pleasing strategy for your thoughts.
“Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse.” Philippians 4:8 (MSG)
Stick with God. His ways are always better than our ways. (Isaiah 55:8-9)
In addition, imagine if we ALL desired on and focused our thoughts that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable…what a wonderful world this would be.
I know…we aren’t perfect, but why not strive to be more like Jesus. “You are God’s dear children, so try to be like him.” Ephesians 5:1.
Happy Tuesday!
I pray that you will enjoy soaking up The Son every moment of each day. –Stephanie
