Have you ever stood on the shore at the beach, permit the water wash over your feet as they begin to slowly sink in, and continue until you cannot even move? Once your feet are submerged into the shore you can lean one way or the other and your feet remain grounded. There have been times we’ve laughed so hard doing this that all we could do it just sit down where our feet were firmly planted and rest.
This, my friend, is what I yearn for you today. Not to go to the beach…well…that would be GREAT, but to do the following:
- Plant yourself in God’s Word
- Allow The Living Water and His words to wash over your entity
- Settle in words of wisdom, knowledge, instruction, love, and so much more
- Remain in His love
- Stand firm in your faith
13 Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. 14 And do everything with love. 1 Corinthians 16:13-14
Control yourselves and be careful! The devil is your enemy, and he goes around like a roaring lion looking for someone to attack and eat. 9 Refuse to follow the devil. Stand strong in your faith. You know that your brothers and sisters all over the world are having the same sufferings that you have. 1 Peter 5:8-9
Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. Ephesians 6:11
“…it is by faith you stand firm.” 2 Corinthians 1:24
We have the honor of sharing in all that Christ has if we continue until the end to have the sure faith we had in the beginning. Hebrews 3:14
Therefore, my brothers and sisters, you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, dear friends! Philippians 4:1
