you are not aloneSomeone needs to hear this today.
Have you been through a struggle in your life that you didn’t think you were going to make it out alive? Maybe you are in the midst of a predicament right now and you are in need of being rescued. Well, you are not alone.
First of all, in lieu of trusting in your own strength, I have an exceptional suggestion…put your trust in God. (Proverbs 3:5) I know, I KNOW, giving control up over a situation can be (is) difficult, but please believe me that when you surrender your authority to The Real Boss of your life you will feel the weight diminish from your shoulders. God can and will handle this. He is waiting on you to simply ask Him to take control.
Next, here’s another tidbit of relief…with God, it’s not a “once-and-done”, “I’ll only rescue you once” type of ticket. Nope. As many times as you need rescuing, God is there. Now…this doesn’t give you an “I’m just going to be ignorant about how I live my life and take advantage of God every time.” Seriously? (Galatians 6:5, 2 Corinthians 5:10, 1 Corinthians 13:11, 2 Timothy 1:7, and so many more verses.) Be responsible. Have self-control. Think before you say and do anything. When you are somehow forced into the unfortunate situation, remember that there is a way out, and that you are not alone…Your Heavenly Daddy will save you.
Finally, an imperative component to any situation is prayer. I’m going to speculate and say that when you are in your “funk”, that you are not the only one being affected by your circumstance. You may get the impression that you are in this alone, but look up. Look around. Your attitude and actions towards others also transform how they act, think, and feel around you. (Galatians 5:2, Philippians 1:27, and Philippians 2:3-5) Others are ready and willing to pray for and with you. Prayer is a powerful thing! I have seen the power of prayer manifest right before my eyes. Sometimes God answers are not so immediate, but be patient by friend, release will come. Enlist your prayer warriors. Count me in.
This is too good not to share!

We don’t want you in the dark, friends, about how hard it was when all this came down on us in Asia province. It was so bad we didn’t think we were going to make it. We felt like we’d been sent to death row; that it was all over for us. As it turned out, it was the best thing that could have happened. Instead of trusting in our own strength or wits to get out of it, we were forced to trust God totally—not a bad idea since He’s the God who raises the dead! And He did it, rescued us from certain doom. And He’ll do it again, rescuing us as many times as we need rescuing. You and your prayers are part of the rescue operation—I don’t want you in the dark about that either. I can see your faces even now, lifted in praise for God’s deliverance of us, a rescue in which your prayers played such a crucial part. 2 Corinthians 1:8-11
