Each day, often every moment of the day, we are faced with choices. Making the right decision, even in the most menial decisions, consequences are sure to follow. So why not ask for some help in making those decisions so that you will have the glorious life that God planned for you?
Here’s the low-down: (taken from various translations in the bible, yet staying true to His Word) (NLT, MSG, and NIV)

  • IF you don’t know what you’re doing…..THEN pray.
    • Ask our generous God for wisdom
    • Our Heavenly Father would love to chat with you and guide you in the right way.
  • WHEN you ask God, HE WILL give it to you.
    • He will give it to you ABUNDANTLY.
    • AND…He won’t even rebuke you for asking. NO question is a “stupid” question to God. He LOVES you and WANTS to help you.
  • BUT, oh yes…there is a but, a however, an on-the-other-hand…WHEN you ask Him be SURE that your faith is IN God ALONE.
    • Don’t doubt God.
    • Ask boldly, BELIEVINGLY, and without a second thought.
    • Divided loyalty between God and the world is NOT a beneficial thing. Be LOYAL to God and God alone. Turn away from the popularity of the world, and turn to the truth in Christ.       He will NEVER lead you astray.
  • IF you are being like a wave tossed in the ocean with your loyalty and search for answers, THEN don’t count on God to answer your question.
    • By keeping “all your options open” and wanting to please and listen to the world as well as seeking advice from God causes division in your loyalty to the Lord.
    • Stick with God!

So….ask boldly to your Heavenly Father, believe in Him alone, wait patiently (oh yea, that’s always a God-thing to do), and expect Him to answer. He WILL!

If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do. James 1:5-8 NLT

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do. (NIV)

If you don’t know what you’re doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You’ll get his help, and won’t be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought. People who “worry their prayers” are like wind-whipped waves. Don’t think you’re going to get anything from the Master that way, adrift at sea, keeping all your options open. (MSG)

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7

So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. Hebrews 4:16

You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. 14 Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it! John 14:13-14

My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. Psalms 121:2

I pray that you will enjoy soaking up The Son every moment of each day. –Stephanie
