My Mother's Day Mermaid door. :)

My Mother’s Day Mermaid door. 🙂

For my Mother’s Day I received a one-of-a-kind gift.
Through a friend of a friend, my husband had recently met the owner of a new shop located in Anna Maria Island, Florida. Marsha, the owner of Pineapple Junktion, is a doll. She is a lady full of life with many unique finds in her new store. (Click here to visit the website, and here to “like” and visit on Facebook.) When Tim and I went there on opening day I found several novelties and furniture items that caught my eye. Then…when I saw this door with a mermaid painted on it, I fell in love with it.
I asked Marsha about this unique object of art and she informed me all about where it came from and the story behind it. That is exactly how Marsha spoke about other items in her store that I inquired about. Each piece had a story about where she acquired the items. You could tell that Marsha was fully invested in her new adventure of “Pineapple Junktion”.
You know? Those finds in Marsha’s store aren’t the only things that are unique. You are. You are uniquely made by The Maker.

For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be. Psalm 139:13-16 (NLT)

Praise God that when He formed me He broke the mold. The stories my Owner could tell about me. Oh my, yay, and yikes! God knows my (and yours) history, each moment of the day, each hair on our heads, and even the days that lie before us.
I pray that I don’t try to rewrite His story for me. My desire is to follow Him and try to stay on the path that God has laid out before me. Each time that I have tried to rewrite the glorious novel He has for me, I seem to need a lot of editing. Lessons learned.
Much like the “junk” (uniquely discovered items) at Pineapple Junktion, and ourselves, God is On-of-a-Kind as well.

We all live off His generous bounty, gift after gift after gift. We got the basics from Moses, and then this exuberant giving and receiving, this endless knowing and understanding—all this came through Jesus, the Messiah. No one has ever seen God, not so much as a glimpse. This one-of-a-kind God-Expression, who exists at the very heart of the Father, has made Him plain as day. John 1:16-18 (MSG)

To serve the Unique God is fabulous! It is exuberant living. God desires for you to live life and live it abundantly. So while you are strolling through life, choose Christ. He is The One-of-a-Kind that you will fall in love with and discover that you must have.
I pray that you will enjoy soaking up The Son every moment of each day. –Stephanie
