My Ford Explorer requires gasoline in order to run properly. If I were to fill my gas tank up with water or diesel, well…it may run for a little but it will become sluggish and eventually stall and stop operating. My vehicle was created to function using what was intended to be poured into it, gasoline.
Imagine if we were to fill ourselves with things that God did not intend for us to harvest within our bodies and minds:
- Hatred
- Frustration
- Dishonesty
- Immoral
- Evil
- Obscene
- Unpleasant
- Shameful
- Unworthy
Friend, we were created in God’s image. In Ephesians 2:10 we are reminded that “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.” Did you see that? We are His MASTERPIECE! Just be in awe for a moment at that. Out of all the heavens and earth, starts and moon, land and oceans, and all creatures that He created…WE are His pièce de résistance!
So instead of filling yourself with the aforementioned list of words and eventually feeling sluggish and ruining yourself from the inside, pour what God intended for you into your life: thankfulness, peace, truth, honor, right, purity, lovely, admirable, excellent, and worthy of praise. Allow Jesus to fill you with all the qualities He desires for you.
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
8 And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. 9 Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:6-9
You know the familiar saying, “What goes in must come out”. Well, I pray that you will overflow with goodness for God.
I pray that you will enjoy soaking up The Son every moment of each day. –Stephanie

In all situations give thanks!,!Peace beyond understanding. That is God ‘s gift to us! The hard part is learning to surrender ! While praying and watching our situation unfold I began to wonder where we had gone wrong , could we have made better decisions early on , that would have changed our outcome As I prayed and waited on the Lord , I watched His goodness unfold . Our hard hearts began to except the change that was happening , and we then started to see the beauty of the flower fields! they were far from last years perfect crop of flowers ,This was now God’s Garden! His beauty unfolding amongst our sins .His beauty was taking place in our hearts and in each of the siblings! We had surrendered our plan to God’s providence. At, the same time we began to make much needed changes to our business plan in the family! So, our plans did not work for us this year but, God’s plan did workout for us this year!! Did we enjoy the pain and waiting to see what would bloom amongst the weeds? No, but we would all agree that waiting on the Lord this year, to unfold his beauty made us all better people ! That ‘s how the sign made it’s entrance into that field of flowers This was most surely ” God’s Garden”
Beautiful. Simply beautiful. Thank you for sharing God’s blessings with us all.
