be an overcomerThe Struggle is real.
The struggle of:

  • Watching a loved one die of cancer
  • Not finding your passion in life for a job
  • Not having a job
  • Fighting to keep the love alive in your marriage
  • Getting hurt over a/any relationship
  • Going through divorce
  • Trying to find how to live again after divorce from or death of your spouse
  • Seeing your children suffer
  • Trying to comprehend why someone ended their life
  • Feeling worthy
  • Staying close to God
  • Forgetting your past
  • Focusing on getting good grades
  • (You feel in the____________)

Yes! We will go through struggles in life. In John 16:33 Jesus says, “I have told you these things so that you can have peace in me. In this world you will have troubles. But be brave! I have defeated the world!”
See. It’s not surprise to Jesus that you will have troubles and trials. He has a plan for you. He has been there done that. You are not alone. God is with you! He commands you to be brave.
“Don’t worry—I am with you. Don’t be afraid—I am your God. I will make you strong and help you. I will support you with my right hand that brings victory.” Isaiah 41:10
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
Satan gets all giddy when we begin to focus on our struggles. He starts rubbing his hands together, gets a smirk on his devious face, and is ready to attack you. The devil is a thief. “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy;” John 10:10
But…keep reading the rest of John 10:10. Jesus said. “I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance.” Glory!
Be an overcomer! Through your faith in Christ and knowing that you are a child of God, you WILL have victory.
“For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith.” 1 John 5:4
So, yes, you will have troubles. Take those seasons in life and lay them down at Jesus’ feet. Become stronger in your weakness. Find your strength in Him.
But the Lord said, “My grace is all you need. Only when you are weak can everything be done completely by my power.” So I will gladly boast about my weaknesses. Then Christ’s power can stay in me. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
I pray that whatever your struggle is today that you will rest in God’s grace and comfort in knowing that He has you in the palm of His hand. That you are not alone. That you realize the plans for you that He has are amazing. Hang in there. Hang on to Jesus. Keep your chin up and be an overcomer today. It make take you one day or step at a time, but remind yourself that YOU ARE LOVED.
I pray that you will enjoy soaking up The Son every moment of each day. –Stephanie
