I got some bible study time in while spending time with my boy, Cole. God is sooo good, and His word is powerful!

Let’s all say this together now, “God is good!”
Louder and with great emphasis and conviction, “God is sooooo good!”
Now, don’t you feel energized?
What you said is true. And you know what? The Lord is Truth. What He says is true. When we listen to and read His words, we are hearing and reading truth!
I am so grateful that I get to job-share. That means that my amazing partner-in-crime (the other teacher) works half the day, and I teach the other half. I LOVE it! Last year I taught the morning session, and this year I don’t have to go into work until after lunch. This adjustment in schedule has allowed me to get back to the Friday morning bible study group that I used to partake in years ago. Nine-and-a-half years ago to be exact. I always adored my Friday morning group for the diversity in age, denominations, stage in our walk in life with Christ, etc. The insight gained is greatly appreciated.
God’s timing is perfect. I have been battling for A WHILE with some resentment/annoyance/SMH (Shake My Head) with someone. The very first lesson of our study, God put me in my place. He revealed to me my feelings even more, and taught me what to do about it, via Lisa Harper (the author and speaker on the video to the study, The Gospel of Mark). Bam! God whopped up on me pretty good. And He did it all FOR my own good too.
In Hebrews 4:12 we read,For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” I sure could feel His sword penetrating right through me. He gave me a major attitude adjustment, and an appreciation for the person I was feeling frustrated with.
Do you read the bible regularly? I’m not talking about just on Sundays. Is your bible a dust collector as it sits on your bedside table or shelf as a holy décor? Okay, many folks use their electronic bibles nowadays, that’s all good. But I must say, for me, there’s just something special and rewarding about turning those paper pages of a bible and hearing the sound of God-breathed words with crispness. It somehow makes me want to dig a little deeper and feel a closeness with God. That’s just me.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Yes! Does God’s word teach me? Absolutely! Rebuke me? Ouch! Heck yea! Correct me? More than my momma. Train me in righteousness? There’s no other way! I may not like the whopping I’m receiving at that moment, but it is for my own good.
Friend, do you want to live, I mean truly live? Then open your bible and allow God to pour into you.

Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” Matthew 4:4

I want to encourage you to do as it says in Joshua 1:8, Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.” He wants you to succeed. God has amazing plans for you! If you want to know what they are, read His word and allow Him to guide you down the right path.
Yes, God is sooooo good!  He is the Truth, and The Truth will set you free!  Ahhh.
Have a wonderful day.
I pray that you will enjoy soaking up THE SON every moment of each day. –Stephanie
