Last night I found myself praying for my children and asking for qualities of joy, compassion, integrity, etc., tailoring each request for a specific child. In the midst of my prayer I inquired, “God, is that too much to ask?” And then I quickly heard Him whisper in my ear, “Of course it’s not. You know that nothing is too big for Me, especially when you’re asking Me for my children to strive to be more like Me.”
Well, “Duh”, I grinned and believed that my God is a mighty God and is capable to do anything He pleases.
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26
“Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit.” Psalm 147:5
Well, this afternoon I hung up the phone after a pleasant conversation with one of my children. My phone rang, and I was receiving a call from the child I had just hung up with. They so compassionately asked, “Mom, are you ok? You sounded a little down on the phone.”
Sweet Jesus…God is good. My heart smiled, and my blessings cup was overflowing.
Pray. Y’all have a need…cry out to our Heavenly, all-powerful, and gracious Father. Prayer is powerful. Prayer works.
“You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you. Hear my prayer, LORD; listen to my cry for mercy. When I am in distress, I call to you, because you answer me.” Psalm 86:5-7
I pray that you will fall more in love with Jesus each day as you soak Him up.
