Here I am! I stand at the fence and moo. If you hear my voice and come see me, I will eat with you. And you will eat with me.
Okay, maybe not quite the words the verse truly reads, nevertheless Revelation 3:20 is the bible verse that came to mind in the latest cow scenario.
Once again, I get a whisper from God through these silly cows! (Click here to read four other “cow” lessons from God)
I had just fed those two cows, and I was outside piddlin’ around (Piddlin’…not wasteful time as the dictionary would define “piddling”, but this southern girl doing small jobs in and around the house). It was about an hour later, when they saw me still working in the yard, came to the fence in front of my front door, and began mooing. They’d moo, and look my way, and moo again.

Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and eat with you. And you will eat with me. Revelation 3:20

These are words that, as Revelation 3:14, from The Message translation, puts it, “God’s Yes, the Faithful and Accurate Witness, the First of God’s creation says:” (God’s Yes…I love that!).  He had written to the church of Laodicea these words.  This church was full of lukewarm people.  They weren’t necessarily all for or all against Jesus, and this saddened Him.
I have no inkling as to where you are in your walk with Christ.  You may be questioning the faith you were taught as a child, or you are on fire for God, or the whole Jesus as your Personal Savior topic could be totally foreign to you, or you may be (as the Laodiceans) one foot for God and one foot in the world.  Wherever you are in your walk with Christ, please know that HE IS THERE FOR YOU.
He’s standing at your door and mooing, I mean knocking.  Will you let Him in?
Maybe YOU are the one knocking at His door:

For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. Matthew 7:8

Good news…HE IS THERE FOR YOU!

Be like servants who are waiting for their master to come home from a wedding party. The master comes and knocks, and the servants immediately open the door for him.  Luke 12:36

Are you ready to open the door to a life that is complete, hopeful, for of grace and forgiveness?  Knock, knock, HE’S THERE.
I pray you have a wonderful day.
Blessings to you and yours,
Stephanie
