Walking along the path in our backwoods is where I have been doing my prayer walks each day. Since Hurricane Irma, there are still a few trees down and a plethora of limbs strewed throughout the woods. When I passed by one fallen tree, I was reminded how we are all a bit broken.
Maybe you have a broken relationship or heart or spirit or (you fill in the blank). Some may say, “Not completely broken, but a little cracked.” No matter the phase or depth of your brokenness, there is a healer.
That healer is the Lord.
The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3
So do not fear, for I am with you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
I know that when I’ve experienced brokenness, I also experienced much growth in a specific area of my life. When I allowed God to be The Great Physician, that He is, His strength guided me through it all, and joy did come in the end.
I pray that you will rest in His word and in the confidence that God will heal you during your brokenness. He will turn your brokenness into beauty.
Many blessings to you and yours,
Stephanie
