It seems that we are constantly being reminded that life is short.

“Our life is like a puff of air.  It is like a passing shadow.”  Psalm 144:4

With the horrific school shooting in Dade County this week, my heart aches for all involved.  Then, this morning, I woke to see where my first cousin had texted me to inform me that her daughter, Hannah, was in horrible accident. All my cousin, Debbie, knew, for the first hour, was that there was one fatality.  Her and her husband were made aware that their daughter was in the ER, with bleeding on the brain.  Hannah’s best friend (a senior in high school), did not survive the crash. (Thank you for praying for all.)
In my scripture reading today, 1 John 3:18, says “My children, our love should not be only words and talk.  No, our love must be real.  We must show our love by the things we do.”
Love is a verb.  Just like we Christians shouldn’t just “talk the talk, but…walk the walk”, the same goes for expressing love to others.
God’s love is extravagant.  He showed us His love by giving us His Son to die on the cross, for ALL of us, and rise again three days later. Glory!!  And while we are here on this earth, He desires for us to live and love life in abundance.
Friend, please pray for your loved ones and your enemies.  Be kind to others.  Treat others the way you want to be treated.  Hold your loved ones, and constantly remind them how much you love them.  And know to know where you will go when your time does come.
When I went onto social media to view a photo of Hannah’s friend (Baylee, who is now with Jesus), the motto she has under her name read, “live every day, like it’s ur last.” (with praying hands and a heart emoji).  Yes!  Live EVERY day like it’s your last!

“Be kinds and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32

“Teach us to number our days, l that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” Psalm 90:12

I pray that you will love and seek God first each day. Love, forgive, and laugh much.
