So…recently, I’ve had multiple conversations regarding forgiveness: The needing to forgive. How to forgive. Why to forgive. Needing forgiveness.
A few examples come to mind, but one has been pivotal in my life. While sharing my testimony with a dear friend, we discussed how FREEING forgiving and being forgiven all is.
During the conversation, with my beloved friend, we both acknowledged that after she even came clean from a situation, she was forgiven, and it was as if God smiled down and brought a beautiful blessing upon her.
Do you want to be forgiven? Forgive. I know I do!
Before you read the “forgiving testimony”, note that the relationship, which is presented, continues to blossom. God has a beautiful way of growing much joy out of much pain. Hallelujah!
I pray that you will release any resentment towards someone. Forgive. Don’t allow anger build up within you and still any joy in your life. If you have an issue with even beating yourself up over your own past, lay it all down before God and forgive yourself! When you lay it at the foot of the cross, God WILL forgive you. Glory! Sure, you may remember what you needed forgiving for, but just think about and embrace the growth you’ve had since your freeing encounter with your Heavenly Father. Celebrate how Christ pulled you from the pit of guilt and shame, and smile…knowing where you are now. It is never too late to forgive and/or be forgiven.
