Okay. I love digging deep into God’s word.
This week’s homework, from the Bible study Jonah: Navigating a Life Interrupted, by Priscilla Shirer, has me INTO the word! It has been taking me longer to complete, because when Priscilla ask me to read just a verse or two, I end up reading it in the whole context. I am so glad I did!
God’s word is rich, y’all.
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
I’m curious about what you get out of this assignment. Don’t be afraid to do some homework. Consider it as enriching your life and gaining much wisdom.
The question was presented, Does God change His mind?
We were asked to choose just two of the following passages and write a summary about the circumstances surrounding the incidents involved.
Like I mentioned before, I couldn’t read just the verses presented but the entire chapter. I challenge you to do the same.
Here we the suggested passages:
Exodus 32:13-14
Jeremiah 18:1-10
Jeremiah 26:13,19
Amos 7:1-6
Jeremiah 26:1-5
So what did you learn? (Please comment below.)
Then, Priscilla asked us to read 1 Samuel 15:29 and Psalm 110:4 to see how these verses appear to contradict God’s choice.
Again. I read the entire chapter to gain perspective.
Well? What did you gather from this assignment?
I’ll share with you my thoughts once I see some comments below. Maybe we are on the same path. Maybe you have a different perspective. I’m curious.
God is good, y’all!
Blessings to you and yours,
Stephanie
