1. For three nights, my family was able to call The Dromoland Castle, situated on 450 acres in Newmarket-On-Fergus, Co. Clare, Ireland, home.  These luxurious accommodations have been entertaining guests since the 16th century. There are enchanting sights and traditions evident as you approach and wonder the grounds, yet they are definitely in the 21st century with their modifications.

When you arrive at this grand estate, which is surrounded by lush green woods, an inviting lake, and breathtaking flower gardens, one can’t help but feel like royalty.  The setting and the way the staff treat you, sure make you feel like a king or queen. It is only fitting for me to remind you, and be reminded, that when you are a Christian, you ARE royalty.

When you invite Jesus Christ, The Son of God, The King of kings and Lord or lords, into your heart, you become and heir to Him.

Pilate said, “So you are a king.”  Jesus answered, “you’re right to say that I am a king.  I was born for this: to tell people about the truth. That is why I came into the world.  And everyone who belongs to the truth listens to me.” John 18:37

At just the right time Christ will be revealed from heaven by the blessed and only almighty God, the King of all kings and Lord of all lords. 1 Timothy 6:15

Now if we are children, then we are heirs-heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in His sufferings in order that we may share in his glory.  Romans 8:17

But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law.  God sent Him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that He could adopt us as his very own children.  And because we are His children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, “Abba Father.”  Now you are no longer a slave but God’s own child. And since you’re His child, God has made you his heir.” Galatians 4:4-7

So…being a child of God…makes your royalty! How exciting is that!?!

Growing up, I’ve always been told that my name, Stephanie, means Crowned One. So I had to rediscover the crowns which we will be rewarded in heaven.  Y’all, there are five different crowns mentioned throughout the New Testament that the children of God will receive in heaven.  They are: the crown of the imperishable, crown on rejoicing, crown of righteousness, crown of glory, and crown of life. (Please see https://www.gotquestions.org/heavenly-crowns.html for a wonderful explanation on this topic.) Just reading the types of crowns that will be offered sounds refreshing and encouraging.

We aren’t the only ones with having crowns associated with us.  Jesus Christ has had two crowns, of great significance, placed upon Him.  The first crown was of shame and mockery. The Roman soldiers placed a crown of thorns upon Jesus’ head.  A crown they meant to degrade The Christ child, is yet further symbolism for us Christians. When God cursed Adam and Eve in Genesis 3:17-18, the curse was later fashioned into a crown, by the Roman soldiers, for the one who later delivered US from that curse. (Please see https://www.gotquestions.org/crown-of-thorns.html for more information.)

And to Adam he said, “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you, ‘You shall not eat of it,’ cursed is the ground because of you; in pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life; thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you; and you shall eat the plants of the field. Genesis 3:17-18

Another significant crown we see Jesus wearing is the crown of glory and honor.

What we do see is Jesus, who was given a position ‘a little lower than the angels”; and because he suffered death for us, he is now “crowned with glory and honor.” Yes, by God’s grace, Jesus tasted death for everyone. Hebrews 2:9

Glory! (Thank you, Jesus, for wearing the crown of shame and disgrace, to now adorning the crown of glory and honor…all for me!)

There is something about staying at this castle that makes you hold your head up high, walk with dignity, and breathe in a sense of humble importance.  This feeling doesn’t have to be felt only when staying at a 16th century castle. For those who have asked Jesus Christ to be The Boss of their life, we should have this same poster and air about them. Not one of arrogance, yet of gratefulness to be an heir to The King.

If you haven’t invited Christ into your heart, to have a relationship with Him (not just follow a religion or carry out the traditions of one), I pray that your will RSVP with a “yes” to Christ now. (Please click on the words at the top of the site, “Want to become a Christian?” For further information. I would LOVE for you to message me and let me know that you are an heir with me.)

Be encouraged today to live your life of royalty, and to share this great fortune with others.

Blessings to you and yours,

Stephanie
